The Pixie Gypsy Favorite Dishes at Festival of the Arts

It’s the third year of Epcot International Festival of the Arts and this year they did not disappoint. I never had that much interest in this festival in the past but this year I will say I had the best time exploring all the artwork, creativity, history, food selections, and atmosphere it brought this year. In this blog I’m going to talk about some of my favorite dishes I had at the festival. I will say to start off with the prices has gone up on these dishes but the portions are perfect. Let’s dive right in and start discussing my favorite food and drinks of this festival.

At the Test Track Booth, there is the Lobster Mac n Cheese and it’s $8. I was eyeing this dish before I even went to the festival. It’s exactly what it sounds like: mac n cheese with some lobster chunks mixed with it. There’s small crumb-like pieces of bacon on top of it and it’s stuffed in a bread cone. It was definitely good but I honestly felt like it was missing something. The portion was great but I wouldn’t get this for a second time.

The Sushi Donut at Takumi Table in the Japan Pavilion is by far my favorite dish at this festival. It is a donut-shaped sushi featuring salmon, tuna, shrimp, avocado, and mango accented with citrus-soy gelée and wasabi on the side. The cost of this dish is $7.50. If you love sushi then this dish is for you. I got this over and over every time I hit up Epcot this festival season. The portion of this is great and was very satisfied on how this tasted.

The Dragon and Phoenix at The Painted Panda in the China Pavilion was another delicious dish I would get again. It is spinach noodles with spicy sautéed shrimp. The cost of this is $10.50. It was more on the expensive side of dishes for myself but the portion I got was honestly a meal for me. When I tried it I got it at night and was at Epcot for only an hour. This was the perfect dinner for me to get that night. It was filling and tasty.

The Mushroom Risotto at the Masterpiece Kitchen in the Canada Pavilion was another delightful dish I needed to try. If you love mushrooms as much as me then you’ll definitely enjoy this dish. The mushroom sauce was perfectly seasoned with the risotto. The price of the risotto is $9.25 and the portion of this was very filling. I typically don’t make it around the world to try anything from Canada but I’m glad on this day I did.

The Crème de Brie en Petit Pain at L’art de la Cuisine Fraçaise in the France Pavilion was everything amazing and perfect. Pretty much a personal size cheese fondue. The bread was soft with warm cheese inside of it. I dipped every piece of that bread into the cheese until I start breaking apart the actual bread bowl. The personal touch France put to it is the stamp on top it with the Eiffel tower on it. The price of this dish is $7.75 and pair it with the Frosé from this pavilion and your golden.

The Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib at Cuisine Classique in the Germany Pavilion was something I never expected to taste so perfect and delicious. It is a beef short rib paired with parsnip purée, broccolini, baby tomatoes, aged balsamic. The entire dish was so good. The meat was cooked perfectly and was so tender and juicy. I wasn’t expecting it be that good but if I had the chance I would get this again like I’ve done with the sushi donut. The price of this dish is $8.

At Pop Eats they had the Sous-Vide Poulet Rouge Chicken Roulade. This was the prettiest dish I’ve seen and eaten at the festival. This is why they call this the Festival of the Arts because the cooks took their time to make something look so beautiful and tasty. The chicken of this dish was so good and tender. I got two pieces of chicken which I was very happy about. It came with apples and sage served with warm Brie fondue, blueberry, and beet gel and garnished with apple and beet chips. The cost of this dish is $6.75.

The Callo de Hacha en Salsa de Jengibre y Habanero at El Artista Hambriento in the Mexico Pavilion was a must on my list because scallops was on the menu. It’s two seared scallops with ginger-habanero sauce atop yucca purée. The cost of this dish is $8.25. I love scallops and they seasoned it perfectly. Yucca tasted liked mash potatoes to me so it was a great dish for me.

There’s only one weekend left of this festival so if you haven’t checked it out yet; go out this weekend and get that sushi donut!

Xoxo
