Hi, my beautiful friends. It’s been a few weeks since my last blog post so I wanted to write something up quickly to give you an update on what I‘ve been doing and have planned for this spring. I have a lot going on in my personal life so that’s where my main focus has been lately. But I started this social media hobby as an outlet so I’m going to still use it until I get back to my happy place. In this blog post I’m gonna share a little update on what’s going on at WDW and the Disney community this spring.
Mickey’s & Minnie Runaway Railway
I was at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at 4:30am Opening Day for their newest attraction Mickey’s & Minnie Runaway Railway. I won’t say any spoilers on here but if you follow me on instagram you saw a few clips of what the ride is like and about. I’m so glad I went opening day. I was part of the first 100 people to ride this attraction. The only way I could describe this ride is that it’s cute and adorable. Enjoyable for all ages including infants. Lots of vibrant colors and the animation is pretty cool. You can get fastpasses to ride this attraction. I highly recommend getting on this ride so you can experience it for yourself.
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Spring is near so that means F&G is here this season. From now until June 1st you can explore all the beautiful flowers and nature Epcot has to offer. I already went twice this season and plan to go many more times over the next few months. The topiaries is one of my favorite things to check out because they are absolutely beautiful to see that someone create this. This dishes and drinks are amazing. A lot of seafood I see on this menu so I will definitely be eating good this season. The Garden Rocks Concert Series they have every night will be a first for me. I plan to see Simple Plan while they’re here and I’m very excited about it. If you’re a passholder don’t forget to head over to Mouse Gears to get your two magnets over the course of the festival. If you’re vacationing here Epcot has to be on your list of things to do so you can check out this festival.
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station
I know this experience has been open for about a year now but I feel like a lot of people still don’t know about it or experience it for themselves. It’s an animation experience where you are the animator and you’re drawing a character. Don’t worry an actual animator takes you step by step on how to draw this character. It’s a really fun activity that’s over at Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom so you’ll have to take the train to get there. Fastpasses are available for this attraction but in my opinion you really don’t need one unless you want to sit in the front. This is also a good way to beat the heat and crowds once the temperature starts to rise. After you’re done drawing you can head over to the petting zoo where you can brush some of the animals.
Disney’s Villains After Hours
“It’s good to be bad” another after hours event is happening at Magic Kingdom on select nights from now until July 10th. I probably won’t be able to attend this year but I know a few friends who already been or going this year and they all said great things about it. You have to buy a ticket for this event to attend. If you’re a passholder it’s $122 with our passholder discount. It’s an after hours event that lasts about 3 hours where you see and hang with our favorite villains. You’re able to get inside the park at 7pm so you have some extra hours to have some fun. You can ride pretty much everything with short wait times. There’s lots of treats to try, a stage show, parade, and even Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain gets a wicked overlay. If this doesn’t convince you to go checkout the hashtag #villainsafterhours to see all the fun.
March Disneybound Challenge
Now this isn’t Disney Parks related but it is Disney Instagram related and since I love to write about both, thought I would showcase it on here too. So I love to Disneybound. Where you take pieces of clothing you have in your closet and you put it together to represent a character or attraction. Every March @thedisneybound page who is ran by Leslie Kay hosts a month long challenge where everyone bounds as the prompts that are given. We’re not even halfway there and I’m loving everyone’s creativity on these bounds. There’s no wrong or right way to Disneybound. It’s all about sharing you’re creativity on something we love and that’s Disney. I’ve decided to participate this year and I’ve done everyday so far and ahhhh I’m so proud. I honestly had a lot of the items in my closet or my friends let me borrow items for these bounds. It’s been so much fun putting these looks together. One of my Disneybounds even got featured on @thedisneybound page. I told myself I wanted to do atleast 50 Disneybounds in 2020 and I’m on my way by making that happen this year. Follow the hashtag #50daysofdisneybounds to see what I’ve created. It’s not too late to participate. The month is still going strong so look in your closet and put something together for this Disneybound Challenge.
