Disney Park Bag Essentials

Updated: Jul 9, 2020

The Walt Disney World Parks are opening up very soon and I’m getting prepared to get back to my Happy Place. I thought it was a perfect time to share what’s in my Disney Parks Bag 2.0. Last summer I shared what I typically pack in my bag which for the most part is still the same but there’s a few new items I wanted to update and share with you all. I typically like to take a backpack or fannypack in the parks so that my arms are free to play. But since we can only go to one park per day I feel like my backpack is mostly likely going to be the move. So let’s see what’s in my Disney Parks Bag!

1. Masks

This is mandatory for entering the parks. So I will have multiple masks in my bags in case one fly's off during a ride or get to sweaty and wet during the summer heat and rain.

2. Fan

I mentioned the summer heat so a fan is a must when trying to stay cool in the parks. Here’s the link to my fan here from Amazon! I highly recommend getting this one and it has 3 setting features! It’s absolutely my favorite thing to take inside the parks. It’s also a rechargeable battery fan so no worries of trying to find batteries for it.

3. Cooling Towel

I am definitely trying to stay cool while I’m at the parks so a cooling towel is also in my bag. The Disney Parks sell them and you can get them about anywhere. I just love that you can wet it, wring it out, and boom cool air is on your shoulders and neck.

4. Fuel Rod/battery charger

A fuel rod is a must when going to the parks. If you like to take lots of photos and videos like myself your phone is going to die so it’s good to have something to recharge everything. You can purchase these for $30 around Walt Disney World Resort Property and Parks. They even sell these at some airports. It comes with the fuel rod and cords for both iPhones and Androids. On Disney property you can exchange it for a new one for free. Highly recommend getting one of these for all day park days.

5. Poncho/Umbrella

It rains in Florida everyday especially in the summer. So packing an umbrella and poncho for when the rain comes is very handy. You can still enjoy the parks even in the rain. I got my dinosaur poncho from the T-Rex Restaurant in Disney Springs.

6. Reusable Water Bottle & Straws

You have to stay hydrated when you’re out in the sun with a mask on all day. So bringing in your own reusable water bottle is good to have. Even having your own reusable straws is safer and good for you. I’m not a huge fan of the paper straws so having my own set is even better. My straw holder is from @summerfieldstreets and you can get 10% off with code: Pixie10.

7. Mickey Wallet

I love everything Mickey shape even my small wallet where I keep my passholder ID and cards in. Safe place to keep everything in one place.

Here’s a few more items to pack in your bag:

8. Sunglasses

9. Sunscreen

10. Ibuprofen

11. Extra shirts & ears

12. Popcorn Bucket

13. Lanyard/Pins

14. Snacks

15. Hand Sanitizer

16. Disinfectant Wipes

Obviously, you can pack whatever you like in your bags. Families will have a different kind of park bag. But for a single, childless millennial this is what’s typically in my park bags! Okay! I think I’m ready to go to the parks!
